Shorts Clipper Studio: Turning Long Videos Into Shorts Automatically
WebProNC built Shorts Clipper Studio — a web app that transcribes long videos, generates short-form clips, and publishes them to YouTube.
Every long video contains five great shorts. Finding them takes hours.
Creators know the math: short-form video drives discovery, but repurposing a 20-minute video into polished shorts means scrubbing footage, transcribing, clipping, captioning, and formatting — per clip. Shorts Clipper Studio, the web app we built, automates the tedious middle of that pipeline.
From upload to published short
The workflow is deliberately simple: import from local files or straight from YouTube, let the app transcribe and generate clip candidates, fine-tune captions and timing with reusable style presets, review the final cut, and publish directly to YouTube. The creator stays in charge of taste; the app handles the labor.
What we built
- Automated transcription of imported long-form video
- Clip generation identifying shareable moments
- Caption fine-tuning with timing adjustment and reusable style presets
- Import flexibility — local files or direct YouTube import
- Selective export and direct YouTube publishing
The takeaway for creator tools
Automation earns its place when it removes labor without removing control. The creators who love this app don't want an "AI channel" — they want their own judgment amplified. Build tools that make experts faster, not tools that replace them.
